WORTHINGTON — Senate District 22 is seeking new representation in the State Senate this November with Worthington Mayor Alan Oberloh.

The seat was held for 24 years by Senator Jim Vickerman and for the past two years by Senator Doug Magnus. With Sen. Magnus’ retirement at the end of the 2012 session, the seat is now open.

The DFL aims to moving into the majority by taking back seats like SD22 and will endorse senate candidate Alan Oberloh.

He has served as Mayor of the City of Worthington for 10 years and held past seats on the ISD 518 School Board, Wind Energy Task Force, the Worthington Planning Commission and the Chamber Executive Board.
