Letter: Poem expresses distaste for litter

I am … I am very concerned about the litter in Worthington.

By: Ann Rogers Worthington, Worthington Daily Globe

I am …

I am very concerned about the litter in Worthington.

I wonder …

I wonder why people throw their trash on the ground.

I see ...

I see litter floating in the lake, lying on the side of the road and scattered through our parks.

I want …

I want to live in a clean community.

I am …

I am very concerned about the litter in Worthington.

I imagine …

I imagine our town five years from now.

I feel …

I feel sad when I see cigarette butts and trash littering our parks.

I touch …

I touch the world by trying to make a difference.

I worry …

I worry that it will get worse.

I cry …

I cry when I think about what we are doing to our environment.

I am …

I am very concerned about the litter in Worthington.

I understand …

I understand that it takes education, law enforcement and clean-up efforts.

I dream …

I dream of a litter free community.

I try …

I try to be a good role model.

I hope …

I hope that I can influence change.

I am …

I am very concerned about the litter in Worthington.
