WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Area YMCA has launched its annual Community Strong Kids Campaign.
This year, the YMCA hopes to raise $51,000 to support programming that includes after-school programs, swim lessons, sports, Active Older Adult programming and other services, as well as the growing need for scholarships and financial aid to participate in Y programs and memberships.
The campaign is headed up by general campaign manager Diane Graber and two division chairmen: Glenn Thuringer, major business gifts division, and Wayne Klumper, Friends of the Y division. Thirty-five volunteers will make contacts and secure pledges from businesses and individuals in the community.
