I found it interesting that the DFL’s latest candidate for state representative is running because she “believes in working together to get things done.”
Folks, if you’re voting solely because you want a representative that gets along well with others, then your choice is very clear: State Rep. Rod Hamilton.
Not only does Rep. Hamilton reach across the aisle to get things done, he’ll go against his own party if it’s in our best interests.
As chair of the House Agriculture committee — the most bipartisan committee in the Legislature — Rep. Hamilton has gone to great lengths to ensure that ag legislation will receive significant support from Republicans and Democrats alike. In fact, Gov. Mark Dayton routinely signs Hamilton’s bills into law if they reach his desk.
How do you feel about the four-lane Highway 60 expansion project? This was nothing more than a pipe dream several years ago, as reconstructing this road wasn’t even on MnDOT’s radar. Yet Rep. Hamilton bucked his own party’s leadership on transportation issues, and as a result, Highway 60 rose to the top of MnDOT’s priority list. We will have a completed four-lane highway in a few years, thanks to Rod’s leadership.
Rod is known for his ability to reach across party lines and work in the best interests of all of us. His track record is proven and so is his commitment to our district. State Rep. Rod Hamilton has more than earned another two years at the State Capitol, and I’m hopeful you’ll join me in re-electing him this November.
