WORTHINGTON —Nobles County Speedway played host Sunday night to the Midseason Championships in action sponsored by Slumberland.
The following are results by class:
Todd Uhl and Klaus Deuschle brought them around to take the green with Joey Streeter starting third. Uhl got out front with Deuschle second and Streeter third. Streeter would soon try to get around Deuschle, but went high and remained in third.
Uhl, attempting to retain the lead, eventually had car trouble and went high, allowing Streeter to make his way to the front to take the win. Deuschle finished second.
Corey Gronewald and Dan Strandberg brought the field around to take the green flag. Strandberg got out front with Corey, Jeremy Van Ede and Justin Luinenburg filing in behind.
Coming out of corner three Corey spun, bringing out the caution and putting him to the back. As they went green, Strandberg moved into the front with Van Ede, Luinenburg, Jerry Gronewald and Bruce Kingery rounding out the top five. Luinenburg would soon make his way into second and, shooting to the bottom with Strandberg on the high side, took the lead.
As they went green-white-checkered to the finish, Luinenburg emerged with the win. Strandberg was second, Van Ede third, Jerry Gronewald fourth and Kingery fifth.
As they came around and took the green making the first lap, Ryan Hargan got loose and rolled to bring out the red flag. Going back green, Greg Gunderson got out front with Dalton Johnson, Jason Wagoner, Trey Theseneitz and Kristofer Wilke all battling for the top five.
As they worked into position, Theseneitz got around Wagoner and took third. Kaleb Johnson, coming out of corner two, slid sideways and rolled on its side, bringing out the second red flag. Going back green, Gunderson continued to lead with Johnson trying to hold off Theseneitz for second. Wagoner was fourth and Wilke, on the bottom, attempted to fend off Tim Ottenbacher for the top five. Jordan Nordstrom, stopping on the front stretch, brought out the yellow.
Going back green, Ottenbacher and Jeffery Dirkson both get around Wilke as they fought for the top five. Gunderson wound up finishing first with Dalton Johnson second, Theseneitz third, Wagoner fourth and Ottenbacher fifth.
Steve Bents and Cullen DeRuyter looked to hold off Jason Fisher and Ray Bertrand as they went green. Bents got out to the early lead with DeRuyter and Fisher battling behind, and Brian Rogers and Ray Bertrand rounded out the top five.
Going down the back stretch, DeRuyter (on the bottom) got under Bents, who was leaving a trail of smoke behind. He soon pulled to the top, ending his night. Alec Vanden Brink would soon spin, bringing out the caution.
Going green, Fisher (bottom) and DeRuyter (high) were first and second, respectively, and Fisher gave it his all trying to get under DeRuyter. DeRuyter, though, held on for the win with Fisher second, Bertrand third, Vander Brink fourth and Rogers fifth.
Kevin Debaere and Luke Sathoff brought them around to take the green with Jon Deboer and Trent Schroeder in the second row. Sathoff got out front with Debaere, Deboer, Schroeder, and Ricky Prins battling close behind, James Gregoire would spin, bringing out the caution.
Going back green, Schroeder moved up into second as Jim Larson - coming from the back - worked his way up to take third while Deboer and Prins rounded out the top five. Deboer would get into Larson, bringing out the caution.
As they went back green, Sathoff would go on to get the win, Schroeder was second, Larson third, Prins fourth and Rich Gregoire fifth.
