What is your top priority in county government? To seek increased efficiency in providing Nobles County Government Services/develop a better partnership between the city, school district and the County
Explain ideas you have to address your top priority: Increased efficiency can be done by exploring each of the entities strong suits such as maybe one of the partners can do a better job in payroll services that might be done cheaper and more effective for all. Maybe instead of each of us having an IT department with resources we could have one IT department for all 3 units of government. Engineering, Insurance benefits, Inspection & building code enforcements, and communications are additional area’s where local units of government might be able to work closely together in the future.
What would you like to see accomplished in the county in the next four years? Develop a strong and cohesive admin team consisting of Elected Office Holders and Department Heads to make government more efficient & accountable. A county wide Economic Development initiative that works for all of the communities within the county.
Additional comments: With State & Federal budgets tightening up, local units of Government need to get more savings out of increased efficiencies in delivering services to our constituents. We need to work together when possible!
