WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Area Storm pulled out a sweep in a doubleheader against Cleveland in 18-and-under softball action Thursday night.
In Game 1, Christine Kazemba got the win in an 8-6 victory for the Storm. Kazemba pitched four innings, striking out four batters and walking three, while Rebbeca Kazemba had a double in the win.
Angela Robinson struck out five and walked one in a 4-2 win for Worthington in Game 2. Jenny Majerus had a triple and two RBIs for the Storm while Robinson also had one RBI.
The Worthington Area Storm (9-2-1) play again Tuesday versus St. James in St. James.

WA takes two versus Mankato
ST. JAMES —The Worthington Area 16-and-under softball team swept a double against Mankato 9-0, 8-3 in St. James Thursday night.
Paige Kinley got the win in Game 1 for Worthington Area while also going 2-for-4 with an RBI and a double. Betsy Thompson also got an RBI, going 1-for-3 in the first game.
In Game 2, Ida Rogers-Ferguson came away with the win while going 3-for-4 with an RBI and two doubles at the plate.
Kinley was a perfect 3-for-3 in the game, hitting three RBIs with another two doubles. As a team, Worthington Area hit six doubles in Game 2 while scoring 13 runs on Mankato.
