WPU recognized with safety award
WORTHINGTON — Worthington Public Utilities (WPU) is one of three Missouri River members to recently earn American Public Power Association (APPA) awards for outstanding safety practices over the past three-year period.
WORTHINGTON — Worthington Public Utilities (WPU) is one of three Missouri River members to recently earn American Public Power Association (APPA) awards for outstanding safety practices over the past three-year period.
Worthington received a first-place award in the category for utilities with 15,000 to 29,999 worker-hours of exposure.
Entrants are placed in their categories according to the number of worker-hours and judged for the most incident-free records. The incidence rate is based on the number of work-related reportable injuries or illnesses as defined by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
