Letter: So much for job creator creating jobs at home

President Obama’s Council on Jobs is headed by Jeff Immelt, GE Chairman. The president appointed him to help create jobs in the U.S., or so we’re told.

That is not what is happening. Recently, in the Wall Street Journal, it was reported theat General Electric is planning to move its X-ray division from Waukesha, Wis., to Beijing, China. In China, General Electric plans on investing $2 billion and training more than 65 engineers and establishing six research centers.

General Electic made $5.1 billion last year and paid no taxes. So much for everyone paying their fair share. President Obama must have forgotten to tell Jeff Immelt that he was supposed to help create jobs in America.
