Helgeson-Van Maasdam

Aleida Van Maasdam and Michael Helgeson were married June 9 at Storden Baptist Church with the Rev. David Johnson officiated.

Parents of the couple are Robert and Sherril Van Maasdam, Westbrook, and Jon and Susan Helgeson, Dawson.

Maid of honor was Tasha Nelson. Bridesmaids were Kelli VanOverbeke and Heather Harnisch.

Best man was Eric Helgeson. Groomsmen were Tyler Pedersen and Brett Jacobson, Ushers were Keith Berven, Tim Buseman and Jared Hofer.

Reader was Jennifer Berven. Music was provided by Robert Van Maasdam, the bridal party, Kurt Alpers Michael Augustin, Jeff Meyer and Lee Strand.

The reception was at the Westbrook Community Center with Joe and Kim Buseman and Jim and LoisAnn Helgeson hosting.

The bride is a graduate of Westbrook-Walnut Grove High School and South Dakota State University with a degree in music education. She is a substitute teacher in several area school districts.

The groom is a graduate of Dawson High School and South Dakota State University with a degree in music education. He is employed as the instrumental music director at Murray County Central, Slayton.

They live in Slayton.
