Letter: Make Paterno's shameful fall from grace complete

I noticed a few things about the Penn State penalties for molesting kids. It’s a good thing someone finally did something about it. The students were very surprised that anyone did. Did they grow up in an environment were everything is to be tolerated so they did not expect this? Maybe they grew up in churches that cover up everything that happened.
Joe Paterno previously had an impeccable reputation for having very good character. Now we see the character was a false front. When they took away his glory, his family complained that this was done without asking his family. My first thought was that asking the families of the victims was far more important. Upon further thought, I realized that his family has turned out just like Joe. Outward appearance is far more important to them, also, and they have no concern about the victims.
Because his character turned out to be so fake, I think that his statue should be ground up into aggregate and put in streets and sidewalks so people can ride on and walk on his statue.
