WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department arrested a driver for no insurance and driving after revocation at 7:03 p.m. Thursday at Oxford Street and Douglas Avenue.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department cited a driver for no Minnesota driver’s license at 8:53 p.m. Thursday at First Avenue and Milton Avenue.

ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tyson Shawn Wessels, 34, on Friday on charges of eluding, possession of stolen property, assault on a peace officer and assault while participating in a felony. The charges stem from the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office receiving a request from the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office for assistance in a pursuit. Minnehaha County was pursuing a stolen pickup that went into Iowa. With the help of GPS, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office located the pickup parked on Birch Avenue near 220th Street. When a deputy approached the pickup, the driver backed into his patrol car. A pursuit followed and the driver, Wessels, was apprehended in Lincoln County, S.D.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated a theft reported at 3:15 p.m. Friday in the 1700 block of Pauline Avenue.
