New Worthington fire house event is today

WORTHINGTON — A fundraiser for the Worthington Fire Department is scheduled for 1 to 6 p.m. today (Saturday( at the new fire station, located at 830 Second Ave.

WORTHINGTON — A fundraiser for the Worthington Fire Department is scheduled for 1 to 6 p.m. today (Saturday) at the new fire station, located at 830 Second Ave.

Among the events scheduled during the afternoon are a 2 p.m. building dedication by the Masons Grand Lodge of Minnesota and Worthington Masons Lodge #101, a 3 p.m. vehicle extrication drill by Worthington Fire & Rescue and Sanford Hospital Ambulance and a 4 p.m. kitchen fire demonstration by the Minnesota Fire Chiefs Association. Prize drawings are scheduled for 5 p.m.

Other activities scheduled are entertainment by Mr. Magic from 3 to 6 p.m. and inflatables for children for all ages. Pork sandwiches, chips and pop will be served. and a beer garden will be available.
