Letter: Recalling, and wondering about, a relic

Seeing the picture of the old fire hall (Aug. 23 Daily Globe), I remember when Worthington got an iron lung. I suppose it may have during the polio epidemic, from Sister Kenny.

The first person to use it was Ken McNab’s dad. I remember Ken and my cousins got it down from upstairs at the old fire hall and how heavy it was. It’s now at Pioneer Village.

My question is: Was that the only time it has been used?
