Letter: Cemetery event was 'fascinating'

Thank you, Luverne, for such a fascinating Sunday (Aug. 26) in the Maplewood Cemetery!

Thank you, Luverne, for such a fascinating Sunday (Aug. 26) in the Maplewood Cemetery! Yes, I said cemetery. The many people who came to see and hear “Stories from the Graves” were not disappointed. We heard lots of stories, from all ages, under the shade of beautiful trees, and we enjoyed homemade pie and ice cream.

Thanks to Jane (Wildung) Lamphere and her dedicated crew for such a delightful afternoon.

As a child, my sisters and I played around the tombstones as our family rented farmland west of the lovely Maplewood Cemetery.
