Marjorie M. Johnson was born February 23, 1925, in Worthington, MN, the daughter of Allen and Matilda (Mohr) Lawrence.
Marjorie M. Johnson was born February 23, 1925, in Worthington, MN, the daughter of Allen and Matilda (Mohr) Lawrence. She attended school in Reading, MN. Marjorie was united in marriage to Russell Johnson on May 17, 1944, in Worthington. She retired from Campbell Soup Company in Worthington after working there for 20 years. Marjorie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Rushmore, MN, and was a volunteer with the Worthington Hospital Auxiliary. She loved her family unconditionally, and her family loved her with all their hearts. Marjorie passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2012, at the Sanford Worthington Medical Center.
Marjorie is survived by her five children, Diane Murray of Worthington, MN, Jon Johnson of Sioux Falls, SD, Judy (Mike) Braun of Worthington, MN, Becky Pint of Sioux Falls, SD, and Dean Johnson of Ames, IA; 17 grandchildren, Jerry Murray, Eric Murray, Ryan Murray, Seth Johnson, Scott Johnson, Kari Johnson, Tony Johnson, Mason Braun, Andy Braun, Sarah (Braun) Nickel, Danny Braun, Nikki Pint, Justin Pint, Elizabeth Johnson, Emily (Johnson) McDougall, Katherine Johnson, and Kristin Johnson; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and one sister, Dorothy Grant of Worthington, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers and sisters, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. September 7, 2012, at the First Presbyterian Church in Rushmore, MN, with the Rev. Robert Bartlett officiating. Burial will be in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012, at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
