Attempted abduction reported in Iowa

LITTLE ROCK, Iowa — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an attempted abduction of a 61-year-old female from outside of her residence in Little Rock.

The incident occurred shortly after noon on Sept. 5. The suspect is described as being a white male, 60-65 years of age, with long hair and a beard. His hair and beard were described as being brown with gray in both. He is approximately 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 250 pounds.

The subject was driving a smaller, older, dark-colored (possibly black) car with a white top. Citizens are urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (712) 472-8300 with any information which may assist in the investigation.
