PREP CROSS COUNTRY: JCC’s Bezdicek finishes 28th in Tri-City United Invite

MONTGOMERY — The Jackson County Central boys’ and girls’ cross country team participated in the Tri-City United Invitational Thursday night in Montgomery, placing four finishers in the boys run and one in the girls.

MONTGOMERY — The Jackson County Central boys’ and girls’ cross country team participated in the Tri-City United Invitational Thursday night in Montgomery, placing four finishers in the boys run and one in the girls.

Placing highest for the boys was Peter Nasby, who finished 87th out of 189 total runners with a time of 19 minutes, nine seconds. Jack Rangkob finished 123rd at 20 minutes even, while teammate Jordan Shyder came in shortly after with a time of 20:31. Last in for JCC was Jordan Cushman who finished 138th with a time of 20:34.

In the girls run, Jadin Bezdicek came in 28th with a time of 16:48 out of 168 total runners.

The top overall girls’ finisher at the Invite was Blake’s Clare Flanagan with a time of 13:55, while the top boys’ finisher was Waseca’s Shane Streich who came in at 16:09.

JCC will participate in Turkey Trot in Worthington next Thursday.
