WORTHINGTON — Crailsheim Road on the west side of Worthington will be closed at 7 a.m. Monday between Fox Farm Road and Campbell Boulevard on the north side of Glenwood Heights Addition for the installation of drainage pipe culverts throughout the roadway.

The length of the closure should last about a week. Crailsheim Road will be open from the south but only to Olson Park and Glenwood Heights Addition.

Access to the middle school, Minnesota West Community and Technical College and the YMCA is available from the north off Oxford Street and from the south from First Avenue Southwest by using Collegeway, Thompson Avenue, West Lake Avenue/West Shore Drive/South Shore Drive and Knollwood Avenue.

For people passing through town and not familiar with how to get through Worthington, there will be a signed detour going west four miles and then back east to Worthington. Local traffic coming to Worthington from the southwest is encouraged to use First Avenue Southwest and go around the lake instead of the lengthy detour route.

Motorists should allow themselves a few minutes of extra time to get around the construction zone.
