WINDOM — The Windom Eagles defeated the Fulda Raiders 25-21, 25-8, 25-12 in a volleyball match Monday night in Windom.
Fulda’s Dani Hermeling (7-for-7, one ace) had 10 set assists, while Britteny Hermeling picked up 16 digs for the Raiders. Rachel Cheadle had eight kills and Courtney Tiesler picked up nine of her own to go along with her 13 digs.
Hali Tasler led the Eagles with five kills and five aces, while going 18-for-19 on the serve for Windom. Rachel Sorensen was 11-for-11 on the serve with three aces and five kills, while Holly Larson had three blocks to go along with her nine kills. Jasmine Carlson picked up 12 digs to lead the team and Shelby Mattson picked up 10 set assists in the game.
Windom hosts Marshall Thursday. Fulda hosts Murray County Central today at 5 p.m.
PA 3, MCC 1
SLAYTON — The Pipestone Area Arrows took down the Murray County Rebels 25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 25-18 Monday in Slayton.
Kristi Bose had 11 kills for MCC to go along with 22 digs and one block. Hanna Schmidt had 20 digs, while Lindsey Barritt had eight kills and two blocks.
MCC (1-3) travels to Fulda for a 5 p.m. match today. PA hosts Redwodd Valley Thursday in Pipestone.
