ANOKA — The Lady Jays volleyball team took down the Anoka-Ramsey Golden Rams in three sets Friday night in Anoka.
MW won their games 25-14, 25-23, 25-23 to sweep the Rams on their home court.
“I was very happy with the win,” Lady Jays coach Marie Johnson said. “The girls played really well. They game out really strong in the first set.”
Katey Granstra led the way with 15 kills and three blocks, while Brittany Hulstein had 11 kills, four aces, 13 digs and two blocks for the Lady Jays.
“Anoka came out pretty aggressive in the second set and they made it more of a game,” Johnson said.
Mara Eichenberger had 30 set assists and 12 digs for MW with Madie Rasche picking up two aces.
“It was another nice win on the road,” Johnson said. “We have a break now to recuperate and get more practice.”
The Lady Jays head to Rocherster Friday to take on the Yellowjackets.
