Total ban on lawn watering delayed

WORTHINGTON — Worthington’s Water and Light Commission on Monday held off on implementation of a total ban on lawn watering, but if the city’s static levels in the wells at Lake Bella continue to decline at the current pace of approximately one foot per week, a watering ban will be imposed at the commission’s Oct. 15 meeting.

15 meeting.

The total watering ban would be the first step, said Worthington Public Utilities Manager Scott Hain, adding that other water uses could be banned at future meetings.
