PREP VOLLEYBALL: H-BC, JCC wins; MLA falls Mon.

HILLS — Hattie Van Wyhe led the Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots with 15 digs in a four set win over the Edgerton Flying Dutchmen 25-7, 25-21, 19-25, 25-22 Monday.

HILLS — Hattie Van Wyhe led the Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots with 15 digs in a four set win over the Edgerton Flying Dutchmen 25-7, 25-21, 19-25, 25-22 Monday.

Paige Leuthold went 21 for 22 on the serve with three aces and 15 set assists for the Patriots, while Meghan Leuthold added five kills. Haley Van Wyhe went 14 for 15 on the serve to go along with her six kills.

Amanda Schaap was 15 for 19 with five aces and 10 set assists for the Dutchmen. Sarah Post had eight kills and 12 digs, while Ciara Everett picked up five kills. Jessica Menning added 10 set assists with Lindsey VanDyke coming up with 10 digs.

H-BC heads to Edgerton to face Southwest Christian today, while Edgerton travels to Westbrook-Walnut Grove.

St. James 3, MLA 0

MOUNTAIN LAKE — Despite 10 kills and five aces from Janessa Peter, the Mountain Lake Area Wolverines fell to St. James 25-22, 25-22, 25-20 Monday.

Jordan Syverson picked up eight kills for the Wolverines, while Paige Brown added five kills. Mikayla Falk had 11 digs.

MLA hosts Ellsworth today in Mountain Lake.

JCC 3, BEA 0

JACKSON — Kaylee Burmeister had 19 kills, an ace and two blocks for the Jackson County Central Huskies as they rolled to a three set sweep over Blue Earth Area, 25-16, 25-15, 25-23.

Sydnee Donnelli added 13 blocks for the Huskies, with Michelle Van Epps coming up with 39 set assists to go along with three kills. Kathryn Nasby led the team in digs with 13 with Jasmine Erickson going 14 for 15 on the serve with three aces, 10 digs, four kills and a block.

JCC heads to Worthington today to take on the Trojans at 7:15 p.m.
