TROJAN GIRLS' TENNIS: Girls’ tennis seedings set

SHAKOPEE — The seedings are out and the Trojan girls’ tennis team has received a seventh seed in the Section 2AA South girls tennis team tournament.
This means the Trojans will face the No. 2 seed Shakopee Sabers today at 3:45 p.m.
Mankato West took the No. 1 seed and will face No. 8 seed New Ulm, while No. 3 seed Hutchinson will host No. 6 seed Marshall.
Rounding out the seeding is No. 5 Mankato East who will travel to No. 4 Chaska.
All the matches will be played at 3:45 p.m. today and the winners will move on to play Thursday at the high seed at 3:45 p.m.
In the Section 3A girls tennis team tournament, Luverne secured a No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 seed River Valley Thursday in Luverne.
St. James took the No. 1 seed and will face the winner of the Martin County West/Pipestone match. No. 2 seed Redwood Valley will host the winner of the Yellow Medicine East and Lac Qui Parle Valley match.
The last match-up of the section will feature No. 5 seed Montevideo at No. 4 seed Fairmont.
The semi finals and finals will take place Tuesday, Oct. 9 in St. Peter at the tennis bubble of Gustavous Adolphus.
