Letter: Winter coat collection begins next week

As you begin storing your summer clothes and pulling out your cold-weather gear, remember to save the coats you don’t need for the Salvation Army Winter Coat Program.

Collection of new and gently used winter coats will be Oct. 8-20. Collection boxes will be located at the Walmart customer service counter as well as at W-2 Quality Meats, 362 Oxford St. For pickup of coats, call Gene Foth at 360-2535.

Get a leg up on this important collection drive by setting aside these items now. If you don’t have a coat to donate, you can donate a new one or send your donation to Salvation Army, c/o Gene Foth, 1611 S. Shore Drive, Worthington, 56187.
