Lakefield man arrested on charges of possessing child pornography

LAKEFIELD — A 40-year-old Lakefield man was arrested Friday on charges of possessing dissemination of child pornography.

Charges against Loren William Gilmore stem from an investigation initiated by a Minneapolis police investigator in January 2012. Gilmore appeared in court on Monday, and bail was set at $50,000.

Gilmore was charged with seven counts of possession of child pornography and three counts of dissemination of child pornography.

Each count of dissemination of child pornography is a felony with a maximum sentence of seven years and/or $10,000 fine. Each count of possession of child pornography is a felony, with a maximum sentence of five years and/or $10,000 fine.
