WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated an accident reported at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday from Bob & Steve’s Shell.
ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office investigated a two-vehicle accident with injuries at 7:03 a.m. Wednesday at 250th Street and U.S. 75. Trevor J. Vandentop, 19, of Boyden, Iowa, was driving a 1992 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck owned by Marvin Vandentop when he ran a stop sign and collided with a 2008 Chevrolet K2500HD driven by David P. Pinkerton, 34, of Sioux City, Iowa. Both drivers were transported to Sanford Rock Rapids Hospital, and Vandentop was airlifted to Sanford Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D., with non-incapacitating injuries. Pinkerton received possible injuries. The Vandentop vehicle sustained about $2,000 in damages; the Pinkerton vehicle, $4,000 in damages. Doon, Iowa, Fire and Rescue and the Iowa State Patrol assisted at the scene.
WESTBROOK — The Minnesota State Patrol investigated a one-vehicle accident at 10:33 a.m. Wednesday on Minnesota 30 near Westbrook. Hillary R. Mages, 21, of Olivia, was driving a 2007 Ford Fusion. Another vehicle was in her lane, and she swerved to miss it and hit a sign. She was treated for minor injuries and released at the Westbrook Hospital. The vehicle sustained moderate damage.
HILLS — The Rock County Sheriff’s Office investigated a two-car accident at 4:01 p.m. Wednesday at Minnesota 270 and Rock County 6. The Hills Fire Department, two ambulances and an air ambulance were dispatched to the scene, although no information on injuries was available Wednesday night.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was dispatched at 9:57 a.m. Wednesday to 1221 Omaha Ave. to assist a man who had fallen and possibly broken his hip.
Fire
HILLS — The Hills Fire Department was dispatched at 12:28 p.m. Wednesday to a ditch fire at 11th Street and 20th Avenue.
LUVERNE — The Luverne Fire Department was dispatched at 5:09 p.m. Wednesday to a tractor and hay baler on fire at U.S. 75 and Rock County 1.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated illegal burning reported at 7:28 p.m. Tuesday from Clary Street and Grand Avenue.
WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated property damage to a vehicle reported at 11:11 p.m. Tuesday from the 1100 block of Clary Street.
ROUND LAKE — The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office investigated possible criminal sexual conduct reported at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday.
WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated possible identity theft reported at 3:43 p.m. Wednesday from the 800 block of Burlington Avenue.
