Obituary: Jean Zinnel

Jean Catherine Zinnel was born on January 4, 1928 in Litchfield, NE, the daughter of William and Beulah (Conrad) Sigler.

Jean Catherine Zinnel was born on January 4, 1928 in Litchfield, NE, the daughter of William and Beulah (Conrad) Sigler. She grew up in the Litchfield, NE area and attended school there. On March 16, 1945 she married Marvin L. Zinnel. They farmed in Nebraska and Minnesota prior to moving into Worthington. Jean passed away on Tuesday October 9, 2012 at the Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington surrounded by loved ones.

Those who will cherish her memory include her husband Marvin of Worthington, MN; daughter Sharon Andersen of Frisco, TX and granddaughter Julie and husband Rob Kahlmeyer and great grandchildren Riley, Paige and Jack; son Stephen and wife Darlene of Swea City, IA with grandson Christopher and great grandson Tysen, grandson Tim and wife Jennifer and great grandchildren Taevyn and Jaxlee, and grandson Jon with fiancé Lauren; son Scott with wife Barb of St Louis Park, MN with grandsons Brian with fiancé Lisa, Benjamin and granddaughter Brittany and husband William Duggan; son Randy Pritchard and wife Kathy of Rosemount, MN with grandchildren Nick, Justin and Cory; son Rick Pritchard and wife Thuha of Aurora, CO with grandsons Jack, Skie with great granddaughter Veha, Dylan and Danny; brother Roy Sigler with wife Fern of Ravenna, NE; sister Marge and husband Oren Larsen of Hazard, NE; brother Lyman with wife Margaret of Grand Island, NE; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, William and Beulah; brothers, David, Russell, Robert and Richard and sister, Elaine.

A memorial service for Jean C. Zinnel will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012, at 3:30 p.m., at the American Lutheran Church, 915 Winfred St., Worthington, with Pastor Ryan Radtke officiating. An immediate family only internment will be held prior to the memorial service in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2012, at the Benson Funeral Home, 1225 Ryans Rd. in Worthington.
