MOUNTAIN LAKE — Devin Hulstein led the Edgerton/Ellsworth Flying Dutchmen past the Mountain Lake Area Wolverines with 238 yards on nine carries for three touchdowns Friday.
E/E put up only eight points in the first quarter, but turned up the heat in the second, scoring 30 points on the MLA defense. The Dutchmen added another 16 points in the third quarter, but they were blanked in the fourth.
The Wolverines were unable to put up any points until the fourth quarter, when they managed to score 12 points to avoid being shutout by the Dutchmen.
Blake Jouwstra had six carries for 53 yards and a touchdown, while Austin Lafollette ran for 55 yards on six carries. Hulstein’s three rushing touchdowns were 82 yards, 73 yards and 38 yards respectively.
Isaac Heard was six for 10 in the air for 167 yards and three touchdowns. A.J Ciaburri caught two of Heard’s passes for a total of 90 yards.
On the defensive side of the ball, Hulstein picked off one pass, while Lafollette added two more of his own. Tyler Kurrasch led the defense with 17 tackles and a sack on the night.
E/E hosts Cleveland Wednesday in their last regular season match on the season.
