Letter: Voter guide filled with questionable statements

I received the MCCL (Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life) voter guide. I find it very interesting that the first item on Mitt Romney’s list of qualifications states, “I support the Hyde Amendment, which broadly bars the use of federal money for abortions.”

I received the MCCL (Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life) voter guide. I find it very interesting that the first item on Mitt Romney’s list of qualifications states, “I support the Hyde Amendment, which broadly bars the use of federal money for abortions.”

At the beginning of 2012, the Republicans were decrying the Hyde Amendment because they found a loophole that they said would allow the government to get around the law. President Obama saw the Hyde Amendment as a protection for those opposing abortion even in his health care bill. Funny how it is broadly protective today.

Also, presumption and inflammatory statements are used throughout the publication to further its agenda.

In Sunday’s scripture reading we heard, “You shall not bear false witness.”
