'Yes' vote on marriage amendment is common sense

Sometimes common sense does not prevail. This seems to be the case with the upcoming vote on the marriage amendment.

Sometimes common sense does not prevail. This seems to be the case with the upcoming vote on the marriage amendment. If you are in favor of a legal marriage between one man and one woman, you must vote “yes” on the amendment. If you do not mark either box, it is a no vote — meaning two people of the same gender can have a legal marriage.

Having two or more “father figures” or two or more “mother figures” is not acceptable. Children deserve better. To avoid further lawful, biological and social confusion for the future (and present) children of this state, I urge a “yes” vote.

Sometimes change is good. However, some things should remain the same.
