Search warrant issued in Magnolia
MAGNOLIA — The Buffalo Ridge Drug Task Force executed a search warrant Tuesday at 118 W. South St., Magnolia, as part of an ongoing investigation.
MAGNOLIA — The Buffalo Ridge Drug Task Force executed a search warrant Tuesday at 118 W. South St., Magnolia, as part of an ongoing investigation.
As a result of the search warrant, task force agents located and seized approximately 5½ pounds of a substance that field tested positive for marijuana, and other miscellaneous items. Four adults were interviewed at the residence and released.
Information obtained from the interviews lead Task Force Agents to Vongsak Noy Phongphaychit at the Luverne Gold’n Plump Plant. Phongphaychit was interviewed and admitted the suspected marijuana was his. He was arrested for fifth-degree controlled substance crimes and later booked and lodged in the Nobles County Jail.
The charge of fifth-degree controlled substance crime carries a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office and US Postal Service assisted the Buffalo Ridge Drug Task Force with the investigation.
