Ham Radio Club class offered

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Area Ham Radio Club will offer a free Technician Class Ham radio course at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings, starting this week, at the Civil Air Patrol meeting room at the Worthington airport.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Area Ham Radio Club will offer a free Technician Class Ham radio course at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings, starting this week, at the Civil Air Patrol meeting room at the Worthington airport.

The class will meet six weeks and will teach the basics of radio communication, rules and practices and how to build simple antennas. It will allow participants to communicate with a handheld radio over repeaters throughout southern Minnesota, and allow them to use all Ham frequencies 30Mhz and above.
