FAIRMONT — The Red Rock Center invites senior citizens in Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa to view the award winning documentary film “Age of Champions” at 7 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 20 in Fairmont.

“Age of Champions” showing in Fairmont

FAIRMONT — The Red Rock Center invites senior citizens in Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa to view the award winning documentary film “Age of Champions” at 7 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 20 in Fairmont.

The film dives into the lives of senior citizens who have committed themselves to a healthy lifestyle, including physical activity and a balanced diet.

The seniors in the film, all over the age of 60, compete at the National Senior Games in such events as track and field, tennis, swimming and basketball in an attempt to have fun, keep fit and build social relationships through competition.

Following the film, senior athletes from the Fairmont area will lead a discussion on the film and how seniors can pursue a healthier lifestyle.

There will be a free will offering.

Prairie Fire holding volleyball tryouts

WORTHINGTON — The Prairie Fire Juniors volleyball team will be holding tryouts for their 15-18 year old team at the Worthington YMCAfor the 2013 Junior Olympics season.

Tryouts for the 15-18 year old team will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday.

A parent meeting

will be held during

the tryouts as well.

All players who are interested must attend tryouts or contact the coordinators prior to the day of tryouts.
