Uppman is a graduate of the University of Minnesota. She is employed by Sodexo at Regions Hospital, St. Paul.

Alexander is a graduate of Grossmont College, San Diego, Calif. He is employed by FedEx Freight, Roseville.

They plan a Jan. 19 wedding in White Bear Lake.
