I recently had the opportunity to use the training/meeting facility that is housed in the new Biotechnology Advancement Center (BAC). My company, PurNet, used the facility for software training.
The setting was ideal as we brought in outside trainers, and we were able to take full advantage of the state-of-the-art SMART Boards, computers and related equipment. The conference room itself was very comfortable, professional and functional. The city of Worthington is on the right track by providing local employers with such great professional meeting and training options.
I have come to understand that the BAC is a result of efforts by the Worthington Regional Economic Development Corp. to obtain grant dollars to collaborate with the city to get this fine facility built. It is our intention to use this facility for future training and meeting functions. If any employers have not had the chance to see this meeting facility, I would strong encourage a visit.
In closing, I would like to thank the city of Worthington, WREDC and Glenn Thuringer. Also, a big thanks to the University of Minnesota Extension staff who welcomed us and acclimated us to the technology available.
