Accidents

WORTHINGTON – The Minnesota State Patrol investigated a car-deer accident reported at 10:56 a.m. Saturday on Minnesota 60 east of Worthington. A 2008 Pontiac G6 operated by Samitra A. Schuster, 35, of Sioux Falls, S.D., hit a deer, and the deer went through the windshield. Schuster and a passenger, Riley R. Sullivan, 12, of Sioux Falls, were treated for injuries and released.

RUSHMORE – The Minnesota State Patrol investigated a rollover accident reported at 4:33 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 90, near mile marker 32. A 2001 Lincoln LS operated by Michael R. Meyer, 37, of Sioux Falls, S.D., traveled into opposing traffic and entered a ditch before striking a sign post and rolling over. The vehicle also went through a fence and came to a stop in a field on its roof. The Worthington Ambulance and Rushmore Rescue Squad were dispatched to the scene. Meyer suffered a minor injury.
