Obituary: Shelby Schieck

Shelby Ann Schieck, 17, of Adrian MN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage.

Shelby Ann Schieck, 17, of Adrian MN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage.

Shelby was born April 10, 1995, in Austin, MN. At the age of 5, Terry and Ann Schieck were blessed to have this very special daughter come into their lives and be part of their family. She was to graduate from Adrian High School in May of 2013. Shelby was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Adrian.

Shelby had a passion for animals and her nephews. She loved to listen to music, scrapbooking, being with her family and having fun with her friends. Shelby touched the lives of many people with her beautiful eyes and smile. She maintained many trademarks of her sense of humor and strong willed personality.

Shelby is survived by her mom, Ann, brother and sister, Ryan and Amber all of Adrian; and her sister Thea (Dan) Bursing of Tea, SD; 4 nephews, Danny, Kovan & Gage Bursing and Aiden Schieck. She is also survived by her aunt & uncles, Marge & Bill Baecker, Independence, WI, Jeanne & Mark Loosbrock and Mary & Tom Krogman, Lismore, Wayne & Bev Jansen, Plymouth, MN, Laurie & Earl Hokeness, Rushmore, MN, Connie & Ron Helguson, Springfield, MO, Linda & Tim Pursell, Portland, OR, Larry & Connie Schieck, Round Lake, MN and Abraham Schieck of Kansas City, MO. Shelby is also survived by many very special cousins.

Shelby is preceded in death by her father, Terry, and grandparents Richard & Janet Klein, step-grandmother Millie Klein and Christoph and Emma Schieck.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 25, at the Adrian Funeral Home, and 1 hour prior to the service and the Adrian High School gymnasium. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 26, at the Adrian High School Gymnasium.
