DOON, Iowa — The Lyon County Sheriff’s office responded to a car-deer crash at 6:08 p.m. Saturday, one mile east of Doon on 260th Street. Darci Tiedemann, 24, of Melvin, Iowa, was westbound when a deer entered the roadway in front of her vehicle. She was not injured in the crash. Her 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix sustained approximately $2,500 in damage.
ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa — The Lyon County Sheriff’s office investigated a car-steer crash at 5:35 a.m. Saturday on County Road A-26 near Fig Avenue. Patrick McCarty, 53, of Rock Rapids was driving a 2002 Ford F-350 westbound on A-26 when he struck the steer on the roadway. The steer, owned by JRT Focus Farms, was killed. It was valued at $1,500. McCarty was not injured. The pickup sustained approximately $4,000 in damage.
PIPESTONE — The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a two-vehicle, broadside crash at 5:11 p.m. Saturday on Minnesota 30, at the intersection of 180th Avenue. Involved was an eastbound 2008 Nissan Xterra driven by Robert Schultz, 36, of Fargo, N.D., and a northbound 2009 Volkswagon van driven by Roxana Anderson, 53, of Chicago, Ill. The vehicles collided in the intersection. Neither Schultz nor a passenger, Rebekah Ysteboe, 36, of Fargo, was injured. Anderson was treated and released, as were two other unidentified passengers in her vehicle. Passenger Ronald Anderson, 71, of Chicago, was not injured, while another unnamed passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries. Assisting at the scene was the Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office.

LISMORE — The Lismore Rescue and Adrian Ambulance was paged at 4:29 a.m. Saturday to 165 North Third Avenue for a male with a rapid heartbeat.
WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was paged at 12:35 p.m. Saturday to 1732 Donavan Drive for an adult male who fell.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department responded to a domestic in progress at 4:03 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of Winifred Street.
ROUND LAKE — The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary at 5:32 p.m. Friday in the 33300 block of 730th Avenue.
WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department responded to a domestic at 5:40 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of Omaha Avenue.
WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department responded to an assault at 6:59 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Burlington Avenue and Clary Street. Several youths were reportedly beating up another person.
LEOTA — The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported domestic at 10:46 p.m. Friday in the 11000 block of Bird Avenue.
WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department cited an individual for curfew violation at 1:37 a.m. Saturday near Humiston Avenue and Darling Drive.
WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of fraud at 3:19 p.m. Saturday at Bob & Steve’s Shell.
WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department cited an individual for possessing a small amount of marijuana at 5:40 p.m. Saturday at Millard Walker Park.
WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department cited an individual for no Minnesota driver’s license at 5:52 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Humiston Avenue and Dover Street.
