LAKE PARK, Iowa — Tanner Hiveley scored 25 of his game-high 27 points in the first half to lead the Harris-Lake Park Wolves to a 76-40 Cornbelt Conference boys basketball victory over the West Bend-Mallard Wolverines on Tuesday.
Hiveley added five rebounds, while Eli Ihnen neared a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds for the Wolves, who broke the game open in the middle quarters by outscoring the Wolverines by a 42-16 margin.
Brady Van Iperen added 12 points, which all came after halftime, Kade Heikens dished out 11 assists and grabbed four steals and Colin Brons totaled five assists for Harris-Lake Park (4-0, 1-0).
West Bend-Mallard (2-2, 2-1) was led by Jason Zinnel’s 12 points.
The Wolves travel to Corwith Friday to play Corwith-Wesley-LuVerne.

Sheldon 71, Okoboji 50
MILFORD, Iowa — The Sheldon boys basketball team improved to 5-0 with a Siouxland Conference victory over the Okoboji Pioneers.
James Gradert scored 10 of his game-high 16 points in the first quarter to help the Orabs to 20-10 lead after one session.
Nate Oostra and Matt Dykstra each scored 14 points for Sheldon (5-0, 3-0), which hosts a conference game with Rock Valley on Friday.

Windom 67, Westbrook-Walnut Grove 49
WESTBROOK — Nathan Remmers and Collin Lovell combined to score 31 of Windom’s points in a non-conference win for the Eagles over the Westbrook-Walnut Grove Chargers on Tuesday.
Remmers led the Eagles with 16 points and Lovell finished with 15.
Taylor Lindaman scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Chargers.
Westbrook-Walnut Grove (1-1) hosts Red Rock Central in its Red Rock Conference opener.
Windom (1-1) opens Southwest Conference play on Friday when it hosts Worthington.
