SHELDON, Iowa — In a battle between two undefeated and state-ranked Iowa boys basketball teams, the Sheldon Orabs held on to claim a 44-42 Siouxland Conference win over the MOC-Floyd Valley Dutch Tuesday night.
The Orabs, who are ranked No. 9 in Class 2A and had a 10-point lead going into the final quarter, had to withstand a 13-4 fourth-quarter run by the Class 3A third-ranked MOC-Floyd Valley squad. The Dutch run pulled the visitors to within one point (43-42) with under 90 seconds to play.
Dallas Ennema scored 21 points to lead the Orabs. Chris Balster, who made the front-end free throw of a one-and-one with a fraction of a second left in the game, finished with 13 points and Nate Oostra added seven points.
Sheldon (7-0, 5-0) travels to Sioux Center Friday, while MOC-Floyd Valley (4-1, 4-1) hosts Rock Valley the same night.

TRACY — Parker Lanoue’s 17 points helped push the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Panthers past the Lincoln HI Rebels in the Camden Conference Tuesday.
Matt LaVoy added nine points and Alec Swan totaled seven points and four assists for a Panthers’ attack that saw 10 players score. Jacob Bengtson grabbed five rebounds to lead T-M-B (2-0, 1-0).
Ryan Rybinski and Nate Pavek led Lincoln HI (0-2, 0-2) with 17 and 14 points, respectively.
Tracy-Milroy-Balaton travels to Minneota Friday.

ADRIAN — Jack Thony scored 24 points as the Murray County Central Rebels won their first game, edging the Adrian Dragons in the Red Rock Conference Tuesday. Sam Erickson added 14 points for MCC (1-3, 1-0), which hosts Fulda Friday.
Nick Reyne led the Dragons with 21 points, while Taylor Recker posted a 10-point, 15-rebound double-double.
Adrian (0-4, 0-3) also received Collin Kemper’s 10 points and Brady Lonneman’s 15 rebounds and four steals. The Dragons travel to Mountain Lake Area Friday.

WESTBROOK — Mountain Lake Area had four players reach double-digit scoring as the Wolverines earned their first win in a victory over the Westbrook-Walnut Grove Chargers in the Red Rock Conference Tuesday.
Carter Kirk paced MLA with 14 points, Cody Klassen followed with 12, Zach Dickens added 11 and Josiah Stoesz totaled 10.
Alex Knutson led all scorers with 15 points for the Chargers, who made only nine field goals.
Mountain Lake Area (1-2, 1-0) hosts Adrian Friday, while Westbrook-Walnut Grove (1-3, 0-2) goes to Edgerton the same night.

ELLSWORTH — Leighton Sampson had 21 points for Southwest Christian as the Eagles rolled past the Ellsworth Panthers in the Red Rock Conference Tuesday.
The Eagles took a 47-15 advantage into the locker room at halftime and cruised the rest of the way, scoring 24 more points in the second.
Dominic Nibbelink was second in scoring for SWC with 17 points.
Drew Cheskie had a team-high 14 points and nine rebounds for the Panthers, while Mitch Leuthold had 12 points.
The Eagles (3-0, 1-0) host the Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots Friday and the Panthers (0-3, 0-1) travel to Red Rock Central to play the Falcons Friday.

HILLS — Jeff Sandbulte had a team-high 21 points to go along with nine rebounds to lead the Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots past the Southwestern United Wildcats in Red Rock Conference action Tuesday.
The Patriots led by 15 heading into intermission and piled on 33 points in the second half to secure the win.
Dylan Gehrke and Justin Kerkhove-Brandt both picked up 13 points for H-BC, while Braden Ellingson added 10 rebounds on the night.
Andrew Kramer led the Wildcats with 17 points and Zach Schumacher had 13 points and eight rebounds.
Hills-Beaver Creek (1-2, 1-0) travels to Southwest Christian Friday, while Southwestern United (0-2, 0-1) hosts Mountain Lake Area on Dec. 20.

FULDA — Andy Oakland dropped 28 points and picked up a team-high 13 rebounds to help the Fulda Raiders defeat the Red Rock Central Falcons in the Red Rock Conference Tuesday.
Fulda held a 32-23 lead heading into halftime and matched RRC’s 33 points in the second half to take the win.
Todd Peterson was second on the team in scoring with 20 points, while Trevor Ruesch had four points, six rebounds and four assists for the Raiders.
The Falcons were led by Jeff DeCock’s 21 points and seven assists with Henry Rogotzke had 12 rebounds to go along with 14 points. Austin Price was the next highest scorer for RRC with eight points.
Fulda (2-1, 2-0) travels to Murray County Central to take on the Rebels Friday. Red Rock Central (1-2, 1-1) hosts Ellsworth Panthers Friday.
