EDGERTON — Four Eagles scored in double digits as the Southwest Christian girls toppled the Fulda Raiders, 82-65, in an early-season matchup between two perennial Red Rock Conference powerhouses.
Amber Pater led the Eagles with 16 points, while Kelly Tinklenberg (seven rebounds) had 14 points, Hannah Van Dyke added 12 and Jennifer Schmidt (seven assists) scored 10. Morgan Van Hulzen added eight points and Alexis Knutson swiped five steals for SWC.
Rachel Cheadle posted a game-high double-double for Fulda with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Sariah Cheadle (four assists) and Melissa Gehl each scored 14 points, while Brittney Hermeling added seven assists and five rebounds. Courtney Tiesler had three steals for the Raiders.
Southwest Christian (3-2, 2-0) travels to Hills-Beaver Creek Thursday, while Fulda (3-1, 2-1) hosts Ellsworth the same night.

Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s 70, Red Rock Central 64 (OT)
JEFFERS — Red Rock Central overcame an 11-point halftime deficit to force overtime with Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s Tuesday, but the Falcons couldn’t complete the comeback in the extra frame of Tuesday’s non-conference contest.
Melanie Kedl totaled a 19-point, 13-rebound double-double for the Falcons, while Brooke Rasmussen added 12 points and Hannah Sell scored 10. Fern Engen also grabbed 13 rebounds for Red Rock Central (0-5).
Maddy Helget led SESM (5-2) with a game-high 21 points, followed by 17 points from Jessica Schmitz and 14 points from Nikki Carr.
Red Rock Central hosts Murray County Central in a Red Rock Conference game Tuesday.

RENVILLE — Rachel Dukes scored 19 points as the Mountain Lake Area Wolverines claimed a non-conference road win with a second-half comeback victory over the Renville County West Jaguars Tuesday.
Janessa Peters added 15 points for the Wolverines and Paige Brown totaled 10 points.
The Jaguars were led by Sadie Treml’s 15 points and Molly Elliot’s 12 points.
Mountain Lake Area (2-2) hosts Westbrook-Walnut Grove in a Red Rock Conference game Thursday.

ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa —Ivy Sieperda scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead the Central Lyon Lions to a Siouxland Conference girls’ basketball victory over the Boyden-Hull Comets Tuesday.
Kelsey Ackerman and Kori Schulte totaled 13 points and five rebounds each, while Lexi Ackerman had a stat line of 11 points, eight assists and five steals.
Nine Lions scored in the game with the Central Lyon bench providing 28 points.
Central Lyon (6-1, 5-1) travels to play Sibley-Ocheyedan Friday in a conference contest.

INWOOD, Iowa — A 23-point first quarter helped propel the Sibley-Ocheyedan Generals to a Siouxland Conference win over West Lyon Tuesday.
Bridget Doeden had 16 points and six rebounds to lead the Generals, while Kayla Ackerman and Jenifer Willemssen added 13 each. Ackerman finished with eight assists and Alyssa Stofferan grabbed four steals.
Sibley-Ocheyedan (4-3, 3-3) hosts Central Lyon Friday.

SHELDON — Alexis Conaway scored 16 of her game-high 29 points in the first half as the MOC-Floyd Valley Lady Dutch defeated the Sheldon Orabs in a Siouxland Conference game Tuesday.
Emily McDonald added 13 points and nine rebounds for the state-ranked visitors, while Abbie Provost led the Orabs with eight points.
Sheldon (2-5, 2-4) travels to Sioux Center Friday.
