WORTHINGTON — Worthington skated past Marshall 9-1 in a Pee Wee B hockey game Saturday at Worthington Arena.

Six skaters netted goals for Worthington and five players contributed assists, as the Trojans outshot the Tigers 50-22 and controlled play for most of the game.

Worthington was led by Seth Voss, who earned a hat trick by scoring a goal in each of the three periods.

Bryce Olsen opened the scoring for Worthington in the first period with an assist credited to Lance Hibma. Eric Heidebrink followed with two unassisted goals for the Trojans, coming just 2 minutes apart.

Voss ended Worthington’s first period scoring off an assist from Gage Anderson. Voss, Karter Honius, and Anthony Fogelman scored unassisted goals in the second for Worthington.

After the Tigers got on the board at the start of the third, Max Carlson scored for the Trojans off a pretty pass in front of the net from Heidebrink, and Voss earned his third goal with assists going to Honius and Davis Moore.

Sam Fellows earned the win in net with 21 saves for Worthington.

The Trojans are next in action at the New Ulm Pee Wee B Tournament this weekend. Worthington begins the tournament against North Metro Pirates from Brooklyn Park.
