PIPESTONE — Pipestone Area protected its homecourt with a 48-42 non-conference boys basketball win over Ellsworth on Saturday.
The Arrows (2-2), who trailed 23-19 after 18 minutes, made a 27-19 second-half run to secure the victory.
Sophomores Boyer Bouman and Collin Moeller sparked Pipestone Area with 16 points apiece.
The Panthers (1-5) were led by Jon Kramer, who scored a game-high 21 points, and Mitch Leuthold, who added nine points and 10 rebounds. Drew Cheskie chipped in eight points and Dan Kramer produced five assists.
