ST. PAUL — Newly elected District 22 Sen. Bill Weber (R-Luverne) has announced his appointment to four Senate committees: E-12 Education (Finance Division); Environment, Economic Development, and Agriculture (Finance Division); Environment and Energy (Policy Division); and Jobs, Agriculture, and Rural Development (Policy Division). The appointments were determined by Senate Republican leadership.
“I look forward to serving on these committees,” Weber said. “The future of our children and rural communities is very important, and I welcome the opportunity to bring rural concerns and values to St. Paul.”
Because of the change in Senate leadership, the Senate re-organized itself and new committee assignments were handed down. Additionally, changes within the Senate from new seating charts and office locations to leadership and staff were made.
