REDWOOD FALLS — Worthington returned from its holiday break to defeat Redwood Valley 131.15-118.70 in a Southwest Conference gymnastics dual Thursday.
The Trojans’ Paige Kinley (33.525) and Anna Koepsell (32.925) placed second and third, respectively, in the all-around. The Cardinals’ Abby Schmidt (34.175) was the all-around champion.
Kinley placed first during the floor exercise with a 9.125, while Koepsell ended up second with a 9.1 and Schmidt came in third with an 8.9.
Schmidt topped the field in the balance beam with an 8.175. Koepsell (8.025) finished second, while Kinley (8.0) earned third.
Ashley Bunting (8.175) was first in the uneven parallel bars for Redwood Valley. Schmidt added an 8.1 for second, while Koepsell used a 7.35 for third.
Kinley was the champion of the vault with a 9.075. Worthington’s Maria Contreras scored a 9.025 to place second, while Liz Hayenga ended up third with a 9.0.
The Trojans (3-1 overall, 2-0 Southwest Conference) compete in the Marshall Tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday.
