Letter: Right to bear arms shall not be infringed

We have a right to bear arms. This includes what the liberals call assault rifles — they are not assault rifles unless they have a select button. Hunting is not what the second amendment is about; it is to the protect people from a tyrannical government. Those who choose to be good law-abiding citizens have a right to protect ourselves against those who choose to be unlawful. We should not have to suffer for others’ lack of common sense. (Common sense died a long time ago.)
Unconstitutional laws are not real laws. Giving weapons to the drug cartels, Libyan or Syrian opposition or Muslim Brotherhood, or Al Qaeda, is an act of treason.
Who are the militia? It is ourselves. Congress has no power to disarm the militia. Isn’t it ironic that foreign governments are asking Obama to get rid of the Second Amendment? I am sure this would play right into their hidden agenda.
Diane Feinstein (a typical progressive), along with her cronies, can’t seem to open their mouths without distorting the truth. Trying to shift the rhetoric to hunting doesn’t fly — the Second Amendment is to maintain the security of a free state. Feinstein should give up her armed body guards and Hollywood stars before preaching to the lawful citizens. Movie stars need a therapist on each arm just to cross the street, but tell us how to best live our lives.
Good will come from evil ... Congress shall make no laws. As Benjamin Franklin said on July 4, 1776, “We must all hang together, or, assuredly, we will hang separately.”
