WORTHINGTON — Ethan Harder and Mae Lourey earned The Golden Hammer Award during the second annual Champion Tae Kwon Do Tournament on Jan. 12 at Worthington High School.

The Golden Hammer is presented to the best overall black belts in the men’s and women’s divisions. Competitors earn a cumulative score in four events: forms, weapons, breaking and sparring.

“There was a good turnout despite weather concerns,” tournament organizer Tim Bicknase said. “Competitors came from as far north as Park Rapids and as far east as Mazomanie, Wis. (in the Madison area).”
