Letter: Reader thankful for return of yearbooks

I am so thankful and grateful. Through the Daily Globe classified ad and letter to the editor last week — and a newfound friend — all but one of our missing yearbooks have been returned.

Connie, my new friend, had attended our auction in September 2010, and among other things bought a box of assorted books. They’d been tucked away and forgotten until my letter appeared last week. I spent last evening looking through them again.

I want to try once more to find my lost 1949 yearbook. Maybe someone has it tucked away, forgotten.

The Daily Globe’s personnel played a huge part in all this. The printed word still reaches out to readers, and I’m so grateful for my good fortune.

Maybe a reader will come across my old yearbook from 1949 with my maiden name inscribed and return it to this reader. Wouldn't that be great?
