BOYS BASKETBALL: Oakland’s 45 points leads Fulda over Murray County Central

FULDA — Andy Oakland scored 45 points to lead the Fulda Raiders to a 78-67 Red Rock Conference win over the Murray County Central Rebels Monday night.

FULDA — Andy Oakland scored 45 points to lead the Fulda Raiders to a 78-67 Red Rock Conference win over the Murray County Central Rebels Monday night.

Oakland scored 31 of his points in the second half on eight 3-pointers. He finished with nine treys along with eight rebounds.

Trevor Ruesch added a line of eight points, seven rebounds and nine assists for Fulda (7-13, 5-5), while Todd Peterson totaled eight points, five rebounds and five assists. Zach Holt scored eight points for the Raiders, who hit 14 3’s as a team.

Jack Thony led the Rebels with 16 points. Sam Erickson scored 13 points on four 3’s and Grant Everson added nine second-half points for MCC (2-14, 2-9).

Both teams host conference game’s Thursday. Fulda entertains Southwest Christian, while Murray County Central takes on Adrian.

TRACY — The Windom Eagles improve to 10-9 overall with a non-conference win over Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Monday.

Nathan Remmers scored 18 points to lead the Eagles, while Collin Lovell added 15 points and three steals. Andy Pfeffer added eight rebounds and three assists for Windom, which plays Montevideo in Marshall on Saturday.

T-M-B (5-12) was led by Parker Lanoue’s 12 points and three assists. Josh Kirk grabbed six rebounds and collected four steals for the Panthers, who travel to Lincoln HI for a Camden Conference game Thursday.
